Welcome to LumiQ Inc. (“Company”, “LumiQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For reference, LumiQ® is our flagship native and web platform offering professional education for CPAs. LumiQ Inc. is the official legal business name of the Company who has developed LumiQ.
This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy” or this “Policy”) outlines how we collect, use, disclose, manage and safeguard your personal information which are provided in connection with www.luminari.ai, www.lumiqcpd.com, www.lumiqlearn.com, www.lumiqcpe.com, www.lumiq.cpa, www.luminari.co, and other LumiQ-owned sites (“Websites”) and/or applications available through third parties that may require that you consent to their own privacy policy and terms (“Websites and Applications”), including access to LumiQ Content and the ability to view or listen to lecture series videos, audio streams and podcasts streamed over the Internet to certain connected computers, tablets, smartphones, or other related devices (the “Services”). All terms not otherwise defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to such terms under the Terms of Service. This Privacy Policy applies both to those who interact with LumiQ as individuals at their own initiative, and those who have access to LumiQ because their employer has entered into a Software as a Service Agreement with LumiQ.
For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means information about an identifiable individual.
LumiQ will collect personal information from anyone who accesses and uses the Services when you access and use the Services, and from other visitors to our Websites whether you are a registered user or browsing. By accessing or using the Services or accessing the Sites, you are agreeing to the terms of this Policy. The Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the Services terms of service (the “Terms of Service”). Your use of the Services indicates your understanding of, and agreement with the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect and Store
LumiQ will collect information from you when you access or use the Services, including when you register for an account with us through either the Services. LumiQ also collects information from visitors to our Sites.
2. Registration and Account Information
The information in this section applies to all User accounts (each an “Account”). When you create an Account with LumiQ we will collect certain information from you, including your name, your contact information, such as your email address and phone number, and related personal information in regards to your CPA license, such as your birthday or license number.
You may decide to integrate your Account with a third-party applications (i.e. Google). In connection with such integration, you authorize us to collect certain information that you have provided to the third-party applications, including your profile information, as well as any information that you make publicly available on or through the third-party applications. By using these third-party applications to interact with the website, LumiQ is not given access to your login credentials, user name, password, or any information you may provide directly to these applications. You are strongly advised to review the privacy policies of any third-party applications you use to interact with our website, so that you fully understand how the third-party website might collect and use information regarding your LumiQ account and usage.
3. Payment Information
When you make a payment for the Services, you will be directed to a third-party payment service (such as Stripe, Quickbooks or the Apple App Store) who will process your financial information. We only receive a copy of the receipt the third-party payment processor provides to you that is a cryptographically secure confirmation.
4. Third-Party Information
When you use the Services, we may collect information of third-parties that you provide to us or authorize us to collect, including the personal information of your friends or colleagues(“Third-Party Data”). You are responsible for obtaining the necessary consent for the collection and use of Third-Party Data and for the disclosure of this data to us.
5. Log and Website Information
When you access the Sites prior to or with or without the intent to register and use theServices, we may automatically collect certain technical information about your visit, including the date, time, browser type, your internet service provider, your IP address, device information including device identifiers, geo-location information, computer and network performance data, the URL that you are coming from and your navigation history in order to customize and personalize your experience on the Services, improve our Services and for statistical research purposes.
6. How We Use and Disclose Your Information
We will use your personal information to provide, maintain, and improve our Services and learn about our User base. Specifically, we will use your first name and last name to generate your CPD / CPE certificates to be able to use towards your compliance requirements.

We will use your personal information to verify your identity and the information that you provide to us.
8. Account Administration; Marketing
We use your personal information to communicate with you about our Services and your Account and to provide you with technical support.
We may use your personal information to send email and other communications to you about our Services, offerings, news, and opportunities. If you do not wish to receive such communications, you can “unsubscribe” using the link provided in the communications, or by contacting us at help@lumiqlearn.com.
9. Third-Party Service Providers; Transfer of Data Outside Canada.
We may transfer your personal information to a third-party service provider for processing and storage. Whenever we engage a third-party service provider, we ensure that the information is properly safeguarded at all times to the appropriate standards.
We may transfer your personal information to a third-party service provider outside of your country of residence, including transfers to Canada or the United States. In the event that your personal information is transferred outside of Canada or of the United States, we assure that the data remains protected to the appropriate standards. You should be aware, however, that the government, courts or law enforcement or regulatory agencies of that country may be able to obtain disclosure of your personal information through the laws of that jurisdiction.
10. Legal Issues
We may use your personal information to detect, investigate, address and prevent fraudulent or illegal activities. We reserve the right to disclose your personal information as required bylaw, when we believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us and to defend against legal claims. We may also disclose your personal information to investigate the breach of an agreement, including the Terms ofService.
11. Corporate Matters
We may disclose and share your personal information to explore and/or undertake a corporate transaction, including a merger, acquisition, amalgamation, IPO, reorganization or sale of LumiQ. Your personal information will be used and disclosed solely for the purposes related to the transaction and will be protected by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information.

We may anonymize data you provide or we collect, and combine it with anonymized data from other users. We reserve the right to use anonymized and aggregated information and data for any purpose.
13. Keeping Your Information Secure
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to maintain the security of your personal information, taking into consideration the sensitivity of various types of personal information. There is no guarantee against data breaches. However, we have taken reasonable measures to prevent a breach. In the event of a data breach, we will notify Users of the breach as required by the law of the country where you live, at the first reasonable opportunity to do so.
14. Cookies
We use “cookies” to collect information and improve the Services. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer or mobile device. We may use “persistent cookies” to save your User ID and login password for future logins to the website. We may use “session ID cookies” to enable certain features of the website, to better understand how you interact with the website and to monitor aggregate usage and web traffic routing on the website. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all aspects of our website. We may use the data collected from“cookies” and web browsers for its own purposes, both related to and unrelated to improving our Services. In the event we disclose this data to any third-party for any purposes, it will be used anonymously and stripped of any and all personal or identifying information. We do not currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
15. Children and Minors
We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you are the parent or legal guardian of an individual under the age of 18 who may have provided us with personal information, please contact us at help@lumiqlearn.com to have this information removed.

This Privacy Policy may be amended or updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices with respect to the processing of your information, or changes in the applicable law.We encourage you to read the Policy carefully.
If we decide to make material changes to our Policy, we will notify you and other Users by placing a notice on our website https://www.lumiqlearn.com/privacy-policy. You should regularly check the aforementioned website for updates.

Please contact us should you request an update, correction, account deletion or other change to your account and personal information, and we will respond to your request as quickly as possible within 45 days. See below for contact information.
